Meat Balls and Sauce (Colleen)

Ingredients
Meat Balls
2 pounds of lean ground beef (or beef pork and veal mixture)
¾ cup Italian bread crumbs
4 beaten eggs
5 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons parsley flakes

SAUCE
3 – 4 cans of crushed tomatoes (I like Tuttorosa Brand)
1 can tomato paste
Chopped onion and garlic
1-2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon basil
3 tablespoons parsley flakes (or fresh parsley)
Salt and pepper to taste

Procedure
Mix meatball ingredients together and form into balls. I put them on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil and sprayedwith PAM. I bake them at 350 degrees for a half hour, and then I turn them and cook about another 20 minutes. If you want to put sausage in also, I also bake that in the oven until browned. I turn that half way through, also.

Sauce
Sauté onion and garlic in a small amount of oil (I use Bertolli Light olive oil)
Add tomatoes and rest of ingredients. Add the meatballs and/or sausage and cook for about 2 hours. Bon appetit!
